Jason Marlow is a director, DP, and editor based in Hudson, NY and Brooklyn. His first short film, The Big Bends, premiered at SXSW, and was awarded the Special Jury Prize and the ICG Emerging Cinematographer award by the Cinematographers guild.

Jason’s work is largely informed by his studies in developmental anthropology, linguistics, and research into the powerful complexities of communication through media. His work crosses different mediums with live animated performances involving a symphony (Carmina Burana) and ballet, museum and gallery painting/video exhibits, including the Art Institute of Chicago, title animations for films, including Bernie by Richard Linklater, and most recently filming with the Save the Elephants in Kenya.

His work with a wide array of clients in advertising, non-profit, and cinema has given him a more holistic perspective to storytelling as he develops his more long form projects for TV and Feature film.
